From this photo, I would say that is cosmetic, some simple body work (with epoxy based filler) and an area 'blow-in', buffed, ready to go.

The other option (which is similar to sailplane product) is in the DA20-C1 Illustrated Parts Catalog. Chapter 52-40, Access Panels, page 3, Figure Item #050, part number 4811-1-1-2, wing root tape.

water, hand held compass, space blanket or 2, granola bars, small mirror, bic lighter x 2, sun block, hat, all these items weigh little, but could save your bacon. :)

Arthur. The C1 is a great little robust, and very fun airplane to fly. I have flown it for about a thousand hours. I did most of the certification test flights on it back in 1997, 1998 when we first designed it. The DA40 is a natural step up and very utilitarian in comparison to the C1. I have flown...

The compression gas spring in canopy is made by Dictator Technik GmbH, p/n D4-12-10-1/160N-60-70-GZ03-A03, the Diamond p/n is D41-5211-60-91_01

In FAR Part 43, Appendix A, Paragraph C, item 24 says replacing battery is considered 'preventative maintenance', in which case you can do yourself, and advises you to make your Technical Log entries, retain your 'release' documents as well........as I read it. Hope this helps. rob
