Re: Ugh, I did it again!
Learn to listen to that little voice in your head. Keep a compressor in your hanger. No excuse, you don't have any damn wheel pants. There are a lot of bad things that could have happened to you the least of which was financial. Be safe and have fun.

Re: DA42 v Baron
psk, With a $400k budget you are going to have to make some compromises. The SR22G5 is out (those are $600k+) so you would be looking at a SR22G3 - which is a great plane but the full fuel useful load for SR22TN G3 is only 2 FAA-standard persons and light bags. I recall the DA42 2.0 has similar use...

Re: Can't pass a medical - thanks for a great time of sharin
Your welcome. I did the same thing. I sold my Diamond and went back with a cirrus once I got my medical back 6 months later. My cirrus caries more fuel, more payload and speed. It's been great. Sounds like you will need more seats so your gonna need a bigger machine for sure. Also I had a buddy that...

Re: Can't pass a medical - thanks for a great time of sharin
I had an episode of A fib after getting very dehydrated racing cars. Had to do an ETT and an echo. This as yours showed an EKG change consistent with ischemia and a small defect in my atria. I was heart broken and concerned. I did as you at first and just gave up mentally. Then I contacted Warren Si...

Re: The conundrum of ADS-B
Just talked to Garmin. they said GDL88 should be ready for the G1000 by end of the year. Then it will be up to Diamond to certify it for the DA40. Which is anyone's guess I find it interesting that ADS-B Out (via the GTX33ES transponder) is available today for the G2000 that's standard in the Cessn...

Re: Cool shirt for summer flying
Hey Jeff: Any longer-term follow-up on the Cool Vest system? I am considering putting together one like yours (I have had the airplane in TX for 13 years - I don't know why I've taken so long...). A few questions: It looks like the cooling bag only serves one vest. Is that correct, you need two bag...

Re: Coopers Aircraft-- Diamond DA40 seat refurbishing
Yes it looks pricy for sure. Looks like they use a lot more and new padding as the seat looks shaped different. The last cheaper job just looks like an identical re skin of the same pattern and padding. I think the expensive ones look more comfortable and have a more luxurious look to them. Be curio...
