There is nothing in the DA40-180 from an airframe/fuel system standpoint that is not compatible with unleaded fuel - even ethanol-free car gas. For sure there will be mods required on the fuel system (vapor separator and fuel return line), but there are no fuel bladders, lines, or fittings that will be problematic - or so we're told.

While this is great news for many outside the U.S. the availability of ethanol-free mo-gas is extremely limited in the States. I have heard that it exist somewhere but I have never seen it in many years of flying. Maybe if enough manufacturers get the certification we will start seeing a demand for the gas.
