Peter Schmidleitner, Head of Training at Diamond Aircraft Flight Training Division, has produced some new checklists for our aircraft. The electronic checklists for the G1000 and printable PDFs can be downloaded from here:

He warns: "Please bear in mind that the name of the electronic checklist file is always “chklist.ace” regardless of the type or variant. So when downloading an electronic checklist file be sure to get it from the appropriate folder."

So... can we assume the checklist feature will be re-enabled in the next G1000 software release? Because right now, those of us with the latest software version don't have the checklist feature!

For quite some time I'm using AirChecklists application on iPad. The cool thing about it is ability to share checklists and download and edit checklists created by others:

I lost the electronic checklist feature a few versions back on my DA42. However, when I added the latest .ace file to my lower slot MFD card I found that the checklist feature magically re-appeared. I believe I have the .22 version of the software (but don't hold me to that number). Make sure you do have the latest version of the G1000 software, and if so you may want to add the .ace file back and see what happens.
