We just finished up the First European Diamond Fly-in and everyone is on his way back home.
It was a great event. Nice to meet other Diamond owners, great food and hospitality and extremely nice weather, over here and on the route. Well, The guys who came from farthest away were a day late because of weather. The perfect 50 knots headwind all the way from Poland, so they were forgiven..
10 Aircraft from Belgium, France, Switzerland, Spain, Poland. And Christian Dries' DA42 VI with Martin and Bernhard on board giving demo rides. Adding the great hosts of the Menorcan aeroclub we were about 30 people.
Bernhard Grueber gave us an update on the situation at Wiener Neustadt. Some good news: a couple of major fleet sales are currently starting to (over) fil the production line.. DA52 planned availability for delivery as of late 2014.
Tentative plan for next year's edition would be to go to Corsega, to be organized by the French Diamond distributor. I am on!

I just flew back home from Menorca.
This first fly-in was really nice, we had a great time with sun, delicious sea food (never ate so much sea food in so little time), fellowship and ...tail wind on the way home
I want to thank the hosts and the organizers for this great event !

The team from Switzerland, the DA42 and the DA40 with Karl/Helga and Thomas/Silva also arrived home in Buochs. It was a beautyful event, the Spanish hospitality, the nice people we met, and of course for me, the flight with the top of the line DA42 VI, unforgettable days.
A big thank to Alfonso and his team... And to Aart ... He has made the event public here in the DAN.

And now one week slim down to get rid of alle the pounds we gained from the excellent food.

Sunday at 23:30 LT we landed in Gdansk EPGD our home airport.
The way back we got strong tail wind ) The travel from Menorca took us 12h (8,5 flight time)!
