Just wanted to formally introduce myself. My name is Jeff and I live in Southern Maine. I own a small flight School at B19, Biddeford, Maine with a 2001 DA-20 C1 and a Beechcraft Duchess. My background is military, Navy and Air National Guard and I am an airline captain. I am a CFI/I MEI/I as well but only have 1.5 years of GA experience. I look forward to getting to know the group and will pre-thank you all for the information I am sure to learn.

Welcome Jeff! I am also a Navy vet (West coast VP squadrons). I also have a 2001 model, but in my case a DA-40 I purchased in... 2001. I spent a summer flying around Waterville, ME many years ago - beautiful country. I'm certain you will find this group a great resource.

Welcome Jeff! I hope to make it up to Maine next summer. (We're at OWD during the summer months.)

Welcome to the club Jeff!

My hats off to all of you who have served your country.

We should organize a Diamond fly-in somewhere in the northeast next year.

Cheers,

Pascal

Oh sure shipmate! When someone else was paying the fuel bill - jets, tailhooks, rotors and/or something spinning four big props. Now that you need to pay the fuel bill, a DA-20 with the mighty IO-240B... Yep, now that is what I call common sense downsizing. OK, I'm also retired from the Navy and now spending my airtime in a 1999 DA-20-C1 - now doing Floridays in the Tampa Bay region...

Now what did I login to do - oh yeah. Fuel Pumps. Looking for the gouge on fuel pumps... Squirrel...!

Welcome Jeff from a "former AF" guy (I got "out" in 1987!) and welcome to GA flying!!
Did you get your CFI via the "Mil Comp Instructor" program?
Enjoy your DA20 and have fun "spinning" it!
As far as "airlines" go, who do you fly for?

Yeah got the Mil-Comp 1.5 years ago when I decided to open a small flight school and added the MEI in May. Had a Piper Warrior to start but got rid of it this winter when I got the itch to buy a diamond. Glad I did because on my fun scale if the warrior was a 3.5 the DA 20 is a nine! I fly for Jetblue
