Actually, I imagine that on take off and landing, the aircraft will actually travel backwards slowly. When on final, I'd need to position the aircraft in front of the runway and then slow down to gradually float backwards to land.... :)

Not backwards but still fairly low groundspeed. The forecast wind was 56 kts at 3000 so I tried to join the 200 kt club. I was only able to get 188 kts as the highest wind I could find was 45 kts, 36 here.

24 knots GS! I imagine even I could manage a smooth if rather lengthy landing with that!

Still waiting for stronger winds. We could have a zero kt club as well as a 200 kt club.
