Hi David W

I knew I should have gotten the formation endorsement!

The F16s did a low and slow pass, must have been at least 15 to degrees nose up, and they must have been 60 knots, with lots of engine noise. I could had lead them at that time.

The next pass they did was at 450 knots....

Cheers

The final day of the airshow was today.

My mate Darren flew us from my secondary base Pt Cook, which is an old Airforce base. It was a short flight, 10 minutes airtime, whereas its an hour by car with the traffic. Over 100,000 people attended today.

Leaving the Airshow

Once the display finished we waited for the crowds to thin out. We then moved my Diamond DA 40 XLS from the static display along to the taxiway. This had been overun by the public so we had to push the aircraft along, we had a police escort for a while, and airshow ground/tarmac officers to help move the aircraft safely.

Thanks to everyone at Hawker Pacific  , Stephen, Nick, Richard, Ellie, Glenyce...it was fantastic to be part of the airshow!

Great experience to be in a line of jets waiting to take off.

Cheers

Hi Robin,

Looks like a great event and I wish I had that flying weather right now.

The local Diamond dealer here is using my plane in a show in April.

Cheers

G'Day

Trade days at the Avalon Airshow until the weekend and then open to the public.

The Australian Diamond Distributors are again using my DA 40 XLS for display. She did not look out of place on the flight line, next to all the business jets. There was plenty of interest in Diamonds.

The highlight was the USAF F22 Raptor flying display, low speed pass at 90 knots with high alpha, then hit the afterburners and into a vertical climb, everything on the ground was shaking!! My ears were ringing!

Cheers
