Oh, you don't have to do it all in one day. Easy peasy. Well, maybe not, but it would be fun to see how far I got in a day. I need my sixteen year old to want to learn to fly. Then we can do cool things like that.
When my brother and I got our tickets we did an airport hope around the LA basin and a little beyond. We started late in the day (coastal fog, not IFR tickets) but we still hit more than ten.

Re: East Coast Trip
Wow Tim. Now you really got me excited. KGDY is definitely on my list of airports to travel to.Tim wrote:I did complete my quest and my jacket hangs proudly in my avatar to the left of this message. It took me a couple of years though. It was an amazing experience to see almost every part of the great Commonwealth from above and met quite a few interesting characters along the way. The day I finished was right before I 'emigrated' to California and was an emotional moment for me.
Some of the flights are described in my flying blog (usually not very up to date) which you can find here if all other means of entertainment are exhausted:

Also, what an excellent program and incentive Virginia has http://www.doav.virginia.gov/vaap.htm#F ... nformation for visiting that state.
I love Virginia. That state is just utterly gorgeous.
I'm also game for a fly-in to KHSP. Not a lot to do, but, a fun place to go. I wouldn't mind just sitting on the porch of some b&b with a bunch of Diamond people. I don't need a lot of entertainment.
The Virginia program definitely has caught my interest. I will be serially looking into it.
