Adding a little class to RDU's ramp

Post by Chris B »

I'm flying locally in North Carolina to get familiar with my new ride before heading back across the country. With friends in Raleigh, I wanted to fly into RDU. Fortunately the CFI who checked me out was able to come along for the ride, as the winds today were fierce (25+ kts). I definitely would not have flown alone - much less into Class C airspace - in an unfamiliar plane with today's conditions!

But in addition to getting some great crosswind practice (90 deg @ RUQ...), we also clearly boosted the image of RDU's ramp! :P

Wow! Nice Diamond! I had to scan again a couple of times to even notice that there were other planes in the picture! I would complain if they continue to park such lowbrow aircraft next to your diamond!

On a serious note, when I want parking help I just point right at an aircraft like that and they come running out to help me every time :D
