I was much happier on the entry where you filed IFR and flew over stuff. The canyon flying is something I'd love to do sometime in Idaho or somewhere, probably with a veteran of those venues. I sure don't want to do it with a bunch of other people at the same time.

I was impressed you continued after the first day and think I would have flown commercial home after the accident, let someone else bring my plane back to the Lower 48 for me. It's just not what I signed up for with the fun GA flying. I understand if you live in Alaska the weather changes in twenty minutes and nature is trying to kill you 24/7 and planes are the only way to get around and make a living... I get all of that. And I am very glad to be nestled down here in paradise where practically none of that is true.

I'm a big wimp. Cary has my respect for facing so much of the stuff that made him uncomfortable. You'll note that in my blog the moment I am uncomfortable I am on the ground and in a hotel in a hurry.
