Drink holder -- what works?
The drink holder in my 2007 XL is of a diameter apparently unknown to European beverage makers. I haven't been able to find anything other than a 12oz standard water bottle that fits into it. (Austrian engineers are apparently either not aware of or not interested in indulging our American fondness for Big Gulps.)
Would love to find a skinny, tall thermos canteen that will hold 16-20 oz (24 is the real dream here) and still fit into this ridiculously narrow holder.
What solutions have you come up with?

Re: Drink holder -- what works?
I bought one from the Diamond display at Oshkosh last year that I think is about 20 or 24 ounces and is narrow enough at the bottom to fit in the cup holder. However, it's not insulated and the drink spout is really narrow so most of the time I find myself just keeping an insulated thermos in the pocket behind the right seat.

Starbucks used to sell a dual wall vacuum insulated thermos that fits. My wife has one. I have a Thermos brand coffee mug that is tapered at the bottom. Barely fits.

I use a Camelbak Eddy bottle that is narrowed at the bottom and fits the cup holder. It holds about 14 oz's. Of course out here, couple of chilled Gatorades wedged in behind the front seats helps with the mid range flights.

This one fits at the bottom. Good quality as well; 16 oz. and keeps coffee hot for hours (if you fix the air leak that chills the cup holder area).

Does anyone have an Amazon link to a bottle that works? I picked the smallest bottle from Target, and it barely doesn’t fit. I also tried 2 different bottles from Amazon that I had to return. Pulling my hair out trying to find a bottle that will fit my DA42 cup holder.

I use this thermos that nicely fits DA40 bottle holder.
I like it as I can unlock and open with one hand. It holds the temp pretty well.

That looks nice, the only downside is it only holds 16oz. Is that the max size bottle that can fit?arksat wrote: ↑Mon Aug 30, 2021 10:27 pm I use this thermos that nicely fits DA40 bottle holder.

There's 20oz version. I don't know if the diameter is the same. It appears to be the same though.
