As you are all probably aware Diamond is now increasing its communications with direct mail outs and an increased social media presence. I was directed there by the Facebook logarithm and noted a post on the 62 Keypad.

The Garmin GCU 476 Keypad is an available option in the DA62. 💎✈️ Makes programming the G1000NXi easier than ever! 🤓 Garmin Aviation #WeFlyDiamondAircraft

I asked the question:
Diamond Aircraft Industries I have a 42-VI: is there any plan to make it available for our planes? Or can we go down the Flightstream route when it becomes available?

And I was a bit surprised to receive a reply today:
thanks David! We are currently finalizing our roadmap for upgrades and additional features. We should have more data soon to share. Enjoy your beautiful DA42 😉 💎✈️

So perhaps there may be some interesting news out soon.

Thought I would share.

David

Do you think that that may imply a WAAS upgrade for my 2005 DA40?

I wonder how they will announce their “news”? Their “press release” when they started producing the DA40 XLT again was almost as stealthy as a F-117.

I have subscribed to Diamond Aircraft‘s monthly newsletter, the link for which you can find below:

I signed up twice last year and do not get anything from Diamond. I called Diamond Canada last year, gave them my email address. Still not on the list. I’ll try again.

I believe the newsletter comes from Diamond Austria, not Diamond Canada.

Correct. I have signed up for the Diamond Aircraft Austria newsletter. I believe everything is about to be merged globally in the very near future anyway.

I have signed up a few months ago and I have received only one newsletter. I am not sure if it is suppose to be a monthly release or just when they have something to say.
