I'm playing with video from a 360 degree camera mounted under the plane. The camera is a 360Fly (not the 4K version) I shot this 2 min video landing at KROC. The quality gets pretty bad when I upload to Youtube. Any suggestions on how to get better quality is appreciated. Anyhow I'm having fun with it.

Re: Video landing KROC in 360
I have the Samsung 4k 360 and uploaded a similar video: https://youtu.be/_0ucWd35vws. The quality is fine when you set the playback to 1080p (HD), though it isn't at 4k.
What's the system you're using for transcoding and uploading?
One question: it seems like yours only has the front-facing part. Is it set to 360°?

Re: Video landing KROC in 360
I'm just using the vendor supplied 360Fly Director for editing and uploading. I've tried some other workflows, but they loose the 360 metadata that is required for youtube to make it a 360 video. The quality out of Director looks fine, but the process to put it on youtube seems to ruin the resolution.pietromarx wrote:What's the system you're using for transcoding and uploading?
