Weather Station

Post by BRS »

We just got Wifi at our little airfield. Got to wondering what cool things could be done with wifi besides heater control and security. Thought it would be cool to have some sort of weather reporting. Their are a host of personal weather stations available but it would be nice to know if there is fog etc.

Any recommendations of equipment?

I have one of the smaller Ambient weather stations (not WiFi). It has been dependable for the past 10 years or so. They make a device to connect weather instruments to a router via WiFi:

Might be worth investigating further...
