Hello all,
I'm currently in pre-buy for a 2012 DA40 XLS. Looking at the POH it seems that the aircraft needs to be outfitted with optional design changes 40-064 and 40-067 for night VFR and IFR certification. Where can I find the information if this particular aircraft meets these standards? Any assistance would be of great help.

All of the Diamond tech pubs are available on the
tech pubs web site.
I think the attached document lists all the publications for the DA40-180.

As I recall, it will be in the logbooks right at the front where the manufacturer does their thing. This said, I am sure your airplane (an XLS), like virtually all DA-40s since certification, are night VFR and IFR certified. The requirements were basically lights and lightning protection, as I recall. Personally, I've never heard of a DA-40 since before 2003 which wasn't certified for day/night VFR and IFR.
