Re: New DA 62 Owners
I posted this in the BeechTalk thread; it's a nice review of the 62 on a North Atlantic ferry flight in Twin & Turbine. The author (Joe Casey) just bought an SR22 and he is a terrific CFI and well-known and respected in the PA46 and King Air circles. I've trained with him in my turbine and also with his colleague Deanna Wallace (who was also on the ferry). Both are great and the article is a good review. Apologies if someone already posted this link:

Re: New DA 62 Owners
Hi All,
Just aquired used 62.028 now the only DA62 in Australia. Now registered as VH-TZI
I have been on this forum for about a year and learned heaps about the aircraft from all the contributors so thank you.
Particular thanks to Nigel (D-INDC) and Mr. Florian Bauer of DAI Germany for advice and encouragement.

Re: New DA 62 Owners
Thanks Dave, I didn't have a colour choice being a secondhand aircraft but it looks great
White is a good heat reflecting colour for Australia as it's pretty damn hot a lot of the time ha ha.
The previous owner kept it pristine condition. In it's got 600 hours it's been to a lot of places across the Atlantic - Greenland, Oshkosh, Europe to Australia via the Middle East. A very capable aircraft!
I plan to do a little cruising around Australia and the South Pacific over the next few years.

Re: New DA 62 Owners
I just closed on N157DA and am in love with the airplane. Picked it up from SouthTecAviation for a checkout flight on Friday and she is a dream to fly. Looks like I missed meeting CFIDave there by a day.

Re: New DA 62 Owners
Yup, saw your blue DA62 sitting there at SouthTec last week -- they were installing the new supplemental data plate on the tail (required since the DA62 Type Certificate was moved to Canada). She's a beauty!
