The bulk of this conversation was from October last year. Is there any update on the Beringer brakes and tubeless tires option for the DA62.
The plane I'm contemplating purchasing would be delivered in the November 2021 time frame and I would prefer to just buy brakes once!

I contacted Beringer a few months ago about the DA42-V1 and got the same answer as the year before, "We're working on it." Perhaps if we got a big enough group together and committed to a collective down payment they would work a little harder.nworthin wrote: ↑Mon Mar 01, 2021 9:20 pm The bulk of this conversation was from October last year. On February 21, 2021, Beringer Aero answered me about the availability for DA62:
"...we are still waiting on EASA’s approval unfortunately…"
In previous communication with me they estimated January 2021 certification. Perhaps Covid-19 is delaying things at EASA.
The good news is that it is coming soon...

Re: Beringer brakes & tubeles tires on DA62
Just got additional news from Beringer.
DA62-021 STC has been approved by EASA last week.
The product is ready for order from Beringer Aero SA (at least in Europe) at a cost of 5,685 Euro + VAT.
By the way, on a related issue, SenseAIR is not certified yet and they hope to have it certified this year.

PIREP Request!
If anyone is upgrading to Beringers in the near term and of course had time, it would be interesting to discuss the before / after landing distances required.
I believe no AFM update is being made?

I'll be going to Sun n Fun in a couple of weeks. Beringer is listed as an exhibitor and I will try to get some additional clarification on when this might be coming to North American based DA62's.

Hey nworthin.
Was curious if you were able to get a PIREP from Beringer?
Hope you had a blast at Sun n Fun!

Beringer tires and brakes will become standard on new DA62s with the coming May 1 price increase in North America.

Flightstream 510 will also to be standard, from what I’m told. Roughly a 3% increase in base price, and some options will also be higher.
