DA62 Camping at Oshkosh
Saw this DA62 (with what looks a like naval vessel camo paint scheme) parked in the North 40 camping area of EAA Airventure in Oshkosh, Wisconsin this week:

Re: DA62 Camping at Oshkosh
Thanks Dave. I was just about to ask what experiences DA42/62 owners have had plane camping at Airventure? I have done it a couple of times in the past in Cessnas and loved it. I'd like to get back in the DA42 perhaps next year. Any issues in the North 40 with long wingspans etc.?
I hope you are having a blast at OSH. Glad the worst of the storm missed the field last night.

Re: DA62 Camping at Oshkosh
The one suggestion I have is to bring some small plywood boards to place under the main gear tires when parking on the grass (especially with a DA42, which weighs nearly 2X that of a DA40 with the same relatively small tires). Otherwise the weight of the plane will cause it to sink into damp ground after a few days, making it difficult to taxi out when you're ready to depart.

Re: DA62 Camping at Oshkosh
So I assume that is a completely custom paint job? Or did it come out of factory that way? Any idea who does paint like that?

Re: DA62 Camping at Oshkosh
The Canada factory can provide custom DA62 paint jobs like that.

That's amazing! So I assume then that it was custom ordered that way? Wow...
