Done - thanks very much Janis! Please correct me I'm wrong, but will assume your aircraft is flying with the CD-135 engines. Otherwise, please feel free to update the spreadsheet (as my understanding is the Austro engines didn't go into production until 2009 and yet I'm guessing it could be possible you have IO-360's installed on your DA42).
Regardless, you're the 17th TwinStar on the list, bringing the overall total to 54 aircraft. One forum member has volunteered for recruiting another large flight school, so if successful this could push the number past the sixty mark.

Per an AOPA article just released this afternoon:
"Diamond Aircraft had its best quarter of the year in terms of shipments with 14 twin-engine DA–42 and 15 DA–62 models accounting for 76 percent of the quarter’s total."
Here's a link to the entire article:

Appreciate you confirming your engines Janis. Also, thank you for your words of encouragement! Yet this is a group effort, and at best, I'm only the cheerleader, not in charge.
Please ask all your DA40 & DA42 friends over there across the pond to sign up too:

Re: Outdated Garmin G1000 software - petition sign-up
Hi John,
Would you be able to drop by and ask your old flight school in person? Second best would be to call them. The third option is for me to call them. If it's door number three, please send me a private message with their contact information. With that many Diamonds in their fleet, what a great catch that would be!!!
By the way, when talking with Galvin Flying, they could not have been more supportive of this petition drive. In fact, the vast majority of owners I've talked with are chomping* at the bit to get the most current software possible for their aircraft.
So thank you for spreading the word John! On that note, I spoke with one of your namesakes today - John Weber at Continental Motors, as I had a number of questions for him, on a range of topics. So as long as I had him on the line, I asked him if he would please steer any and all Diamond owners our way. With his typical upbeat and cheerful demeanor, he said that he would.
Over the last three plus years, have always found John to be a wealth of information in educating me on CD-135's, as it's such a different mindset (after so many years flying behind air cooled engines burning Avgas). Here's an interesting article about aviation diesel engine maintenance that references John:

Will end once again with a link to the sign-up sheet:

* or champing at the bit, take your pick.

Re: Outdated Garmin G1000 software - petition sign-up
When i talked to diamond this morning they told me that they still don't have an anticipated date of when the da40 software update would come, they said it is postponed. so hopefully this petition would help drive diamond forward in providing a software update

Re: Outdated Garmin G1000 software - petition sign-up
All thanks to John Land's one suggestion, we hit the motherlode today! As John sent me the contact information for this large flight school and as luck would have it - I got put through right away to the Director of Operations. And not only is Clint Hughey of Falcon Aviation going to sign his up his entire stable of TDI TwinStars, but he also generously offered to share the sign-up link with two other flight schools. My deep appreciation goes out to Clint, as he said to expect an additional 15 more Diamond aircraft!!!
