I added the aircrafts provided by Mr. Crosby. Scott, please check if there are some double entries or overwrites. It seems Mr. Crosby added his aircraft as #3 and later at the end of the list - he sent me an e-mail that he had some problems with editing.

Thank you John (N430JP) and Happy Holidays.

Bravo to Emir for landing a whopping nine, yes that's right, nine DA42's. All with the CD-155 conversions, which is an even more impressive feat!!!

So it is when owners such as Emir, have reached out to their pilot friends that the numbers (signing up) have steadily grown - and all in a relatively short period of time. At some point it seems inevitable, DAI is going to have to pay attention to this online movement. They are welcome to open a discussion with us at any time and DAI would be applauded for doing so.

Before signing off, I would like send a heartfelt Season's Greetings to all of those who have signed this petition! Thanks to each, and every one of you, the count now stands at an impressive 126 aircraft. For others who would still like to add their Diamond, please click HERE

Haven’t been on the site for a while but this subject caught my eye immediately. The read of the thread has been quite interesting. You can count me in on the petition. Since I was partners with Charles Kreling in N5WU way back in 2004 we always believed WAAS would be a reasonably easy and cost effective upgrade. Heck, Diamond inferred it in those days. Hah! Now we can’t even get a software upgrade. Although my 2007 DA40 N984ES has a GFC700 and a GTX345R, it sure would be nice to know that this TAA is not obsolete. I realize the issues with a 2007 DA40 are not the same as other models, but I still believe sorting all of this out is a worthwhile pursuit. Ultimately a major issue is coming for all G1000 owners unless long term support becomes a reality. Again, Count me in.

Scott- you can also sign me up. I would like to think that Diamond would support continued upgrades to our avionics but it appears that for many years Diamond had been holding on by a shoestring while sales declined. I remember when I bought my DA40 in 2006 how the factory was buzzing and then going back in 2013 to a very different (and slower) assembly line. Hopefully the new ownership at Diamond will see the light in supporting this. Happy existing owners lead to new owners you would think.

With Barry (N983ES) and Phil (N503TS) chiming in over the New Year Day's Holiday, 2019 is off to a great start! My sincere appreciation to both of them for taking the time to share their views on this subject that is critically important to so many of us. Hearing back to back, from two professional pilots, should carry even more clout in getting DAI's attention.

Also, along this same line:

As of today, my long time good friend Terry Albertson gave me verbal permission to add his DA40 (N422DS) to the petition list. Terry recently retired as a Captain from United Airlines on the Boeing 787 and with all the off duty flying he has logged, Terry could come very close to equaling Barry Schiff for the wide variety of aircraft he has flown over the course of his lengthy flying career. And yet he, like so many other professional pilots, decided to purchase a DAI built aircraft for their own personal use. Clearly this is a testament to the line - sans one. As it's a big one, and we all know what that “one” is. So after rereading Barry and Phil postings – all anyone can say is they “nailed it”! DAI are you listening?

The DA40 number is now at an even 80, with the total count standing at 127. Please click HERE to add your aircraft.
