Easy peasy IPC

Post by Rich »

I did an IPC today. Luckily I was able to use a young guy that didn't require that I do all the stuff the way we did in the 70's. I had set up an IFR flight plan in Foreflight, pushed the iPhone button to file and he was OK with that and with using only EFB charts (plus the GNS units) for the flight - because that's what he does also.

I so agree with this. We should all stay proficient with our aircraft and stick and rudder and all, but let's learn, practice and fly with the currently available tools.

When I was more involved with Ham radio, I could never see the value in needing to be proficient in morse code. I didn't use it.
