One of my favorite lubricants for metal parts on my boats was T9 (aka Boeshield) and now I use it (in the very few places where I can) on my Diamond (actually so far just my tug).
I know the forum considers anything made for an airplane to be ridiculously expensive and overpriced. But consider these prices for a 12oz can:
Aircraft Spruce: $17
West Marine: $23
Airplane owner's save over 25%! How lucky are we! Tell your spouse they are so lucky that you fly rather than have a boat!
Airplanes are less expensive that boats!

Aircraft Spruce is usually not the cheapest place to buy things.
