Post by Fred »

Consider if having a dedicated board for aircraft items and accessories to discuss and identify for others. Other members can benifit from others posts.

--Stall horn plug replacement
-- Oxygen systems
--Sun shades
-- Wax, plexi cleaner
-- handheld radios, PLB, Raft, Life jackets
-- Electronic flight bags and GPA units
-- iPhone / iPad apps
-- A specific headset
-- Airplane jack

etc......

Sort of an informal Aviation Consumer type forum.

.... something like a Diamond-Gizmag? Gadgets and extras?

Chris eventually suggested something similar, even a shop or so. Now, a shop would only be an option if DAN would grow this much that funding would get a problem. For right now, it is not.

Then the other more likely option is to open a Gadgets section? Maybe a good idea. I could open a new forum for this right under "Hangar Talk" if we can find someone to run and moderate this:

Fred, would you be willing to provide us with the first post a product picture, make it sticky and then send a comment? My suggestion would be that you'd get another login, such as "Mr. Gadget" to post the first neutral post and then add a review from yourself if you wish and if you can (because you have tested it). "Mr. Gadget" could get moderation rights to avoid spamming or flaming in this section.

Also, we could move existing threads over into that section, if you would like that.

Feel free to give any other ideas. I have just made a few suggestions.
