Help! I am new on this forum but have belonged to the other forum for 10 years.
For the life of me I can not figure out how to do it. Do you need a certain rank prior to being able to upload a jpeg file from your computor? Please advise. Thanks
How do I post an image to a post?

Don, welcome to DAN . We're looking forward to your participation. You're probably right... new users are a bit restricted by default . I just upgraded your rank to make sure you can use all features.
Please, try again and let me know if you now see the option to attach pictures.

Re: How do I post an image to a post?
Kai,
I have the same problem - also a new member of the forum. I'm wanting to post several images of the work and graphics I've done to my DA40 that should be of interest to others, but I can't work out how to do it.
Can you tell me precisely how to attach images to posts please? And, also if my rank needs changing to allow this.
Many thanks, Patrick

Re: How do I post an image to a post?
Welcome to DAN, Patrick! Good to see you are becoming active!
You needed to have at least 1 post before being able to post images. Nevertheless, your post up there has made you an active member and therefore you are now allowed to attach images.
I must admit that the forum software doesn't make it easy and the rank settings I had assigned didn't help at all. I just changed that. Now, also new members who have never posted before can attach files.
1. click the button [Choose File] 2. then [Add the file] 3. place the cursor where you would like to insert the image file and click on [Place inline] Quite frankly, sometimes even I think it is too complicated and simply upload my pictures somewhere else (flickr, imageshack, etc.). Nevertheless, if it is hosted somewhere else, the picture might not be there as long as it is hosted here.
Will look for mods to make this easier.
