I have a 1998 c1 for 15 years. Great plane, and yes cons are small and no ifr. I was never stranded and maint. very good, zero time engine now and 4 cycl engines much cheaper than 6. Ins cheap at least for me. I have over 2k hrs in many different airplanes. I have the MT prop which is great. Fuel burn awesome, night flights not so good with no panel lights just overhead lights and landing light could be better. Very easy to fly and like mentioned, in the wind not so fun. Also ground effect with 36' wings. Once your use to it, landings are no issue and x winds manageable. I am thinking on selling for a 4seat xc craft. I'm leaning towards a Columbia or Da40 NG. I don't buy new as depreciation drops rapid on many new aircraft's. Plenty of used nice crafts.
