Nice plane.
Will it get air conditioning and FIKI deice? Built in O2? What will that do to useful load and performance?

Dave, here is the link for spec's: https://www.pipistrel-aircraft.com/airc ... /#tab-id-3
I think they are going to have aircon and FIKI. Have not heard about O2.

Very nice plane. I like the center pillar as opposed to left and right pillars. Real problem with useful load and no turbocharging. Very expensive. A used TTX would be about 1/2-2/3 price. Better speed, turbo, and no gear up landings with fiki and ac.
I really like the LX7 but then way outside my budget. Nice to dream.

Sold 2002. Powerflo, Hartzell composite two blade, 530W/430, 345 transponder.

Having a parachute will lead to sales. Hopefully they develop a good dealer network in the US.
Cirrus sold 331 SR22s (inlcuding turbos) last year for at least 600k and above. Plenty of people buying new. Pretty sure they can enjoy a piece of that pie.

Re: Has anyone already placed an order for a Panthera?
Well, I had a need to go to Tampa, FL. Decided to drive to Inverness and take the demo flight.
I'm not a high time pilot, nor a test pilot, but I have to say, I liked what I saw. The airplane took off fairly quick, climbed at over 1500' /min, cruised at 193kts at 8500', burning 12gph. The CHT's were right around 400F. The stall with full flaps had a slight left wing dip at 50 knots, the stall at half flaps was uneventful at 54 knots. Easing into steep turns at 45 degrees at 170knots felt like a sports car. The rate of roll is fairly quick, better than the DA40. The landing was flown at 75 over the fence, 70 at the numbers, landed smooth, and didn't take up that much runway. Steerable nose gear was nice, versus castering.
One issue (for me) was I didn't fit very well. I'm just over 6'2" (built like a gorilla) longer in the torso than legs. Headroom is snuggly. Their mechanic was there, he's 6'3" and fit fine. You can see my head is almost even with the canopy.
In regard to "Experimental", they are being sold factory built. This will have the experimental exhibition label. So, attend an airshow, breakfast meeting, fly-in or something and you can maintain your status. I believe this also means no class B flying without prior approval.
Last issue is insurance, no one is underwriting the airplane yet. Any ideas what you think it might cost?????

Re: Has anyone already placed an order for a Panthera?
Well, there will be a 2012 Diamond DA-40 for sale soon. I've decided to be the guinea pig for this one. The factory is getting a seat made that will give me that little bit more headroom that I needed. The new plane is supposed to be ready in late April. I could come up with some better worth while reasons, but instead, I just had a birthday and decided I'm not getting any younger and I'd rather spend my money then leave it to my kids.

What do you mean no class B?
I have flown multiple EAB planes in Class B (none I have owned, all friends/acquaintances).
This is the first I have heard of it.

According to the dealer and the limitations on the Airworthiness, Class B is allowed, but prior authorization is required. For the Amateur built different story. The exhibition is not the same. i also asked my local FSDO office and he agreed. So, if I'm flying IFR, that should suffice for notifying them when I file.
