Re: worth upgrading to 321.23 ?
When I read Dave's post here, I decided that I'd wait for the proposed updates to occur. As we can see, they didn't happen and Diamond won't say if or when they will. So, I went ahead and upgraded to the 321.23 portion. This was also prompted by having a loss of GPS in both of my GIA's. First visit to the repair shop, they said antenna's. Second visit, they said software mis-match. The third visit, they replaced my #1 GIA. I figured while I was there, get the software upgrade. After the fourth visit to make the final corrections, because they forgot the 50 gal tanks and didn't unlock the Synthetic Vision, I'm back to "normal".
So, now do i install the checklist.ace file? if so, which card do I copy it to? Does it stay on the card, or does it permanently load into the G1000?
I"m still holding off on ADS-B install, hopefully Diamond will get their head out of the dark place that it's stored.

Checklist file goes on the upper MFD card. The card has to stay in the slot. The G1000 doesn’t store it internally.

Re: worth upgrading to 321.23 ?
I also have 321.23 - but my checklist.ace file is on my LOWER card in the MFD, and it works just fine. Maybe it can go either place, I'm not sure, but it seems more convenient to keep it on the lower card since the upper card may get swapped periodically and it otherwise optional.
Unless you're working on the checklist file - then it's probably more convenient to keep it on the upper card during testing...

When I read about the upgrade to 321.23 I thought this would allow WAAS guidance to 3 letter identifier airports, including the glide path? When I fly into my home airport of 22N on the RNAV 26, the glidepath goes away after the FAF. Is this normal or am I missing something?

I, too, have LP approaches to my home airport and haven't had this happen. GS works all the way to the pavement. In fact, I recently did a RWY 28 approach, broke it off and landed the opposite way on 10, running the length of the runway to the end. As I got toward the end of the runway the GS indicator came alive and swept upward as I re-intercepted the GS on the pavement.curts63 wrote: ↑Sat Jul 13, 2019 1:27 pm When I read about the upgrade to 321.23 I thought this would allow WAAS guidance to 3 letter identifier airports, including the glide path? I do have different HW and nav data than referenced here. The display of vertical guidance for non-LPV approaches is at the discretion (i.e., whim) of the avionics manufacturer. It is not a required element of these approaches.

Re: worth upgrading to 321.23 ?
I'm guessing this is just one more shortcoming of the older G-1000 hardware and out of date software version? Funny thing is, when I had the Garmin G3X system in my other plane, it showed the glidepath right into the ground on every approach. I should have sold the plane and kept the G3X.
