I purchased two of the Rosen ones a while back and the material was so thin that they hardly block the sun at all. Have they improved them and put the darker material back?
Agree, which is why I purchase 2 and double them up (they're really cheap), attaching 2 mesh screens to the same pair of suction cups.

I was going to pick up a roll of the cling tint but the box clearly states not to use on plastic windows. i read somewhere that is causing blisters on plastic.

New Jet Shades for DA40 are out -- https://jet-shades.com/shop/propeller/j ... nd-da4042/
Oh holy moly, this is expensive for no good reason! I wonder how many of these they sell at $1,500+ per set. I feel like I could buy a lifetime supply of automotive shades for that price.

I've found that while normal shades block glare they do next to nothing with regard to heat. I'm planning on trying the cockpit solution, which is $1000, to see if they can cool things down. They have a 30 day return policy so if it doesn't work I'll return them.

I was reading their instructions and it appears that you cannot leave them in when parked on the ground in summer heat. I guess they absorb too much heat and will cause blistering of the plastic.

Is that unique to the DA40 shades? According the FAQ s you can leave on when parked.
Jet Shades now has a new formulation that allows them to stay in the windows while parked on the ramp. This new formulation will reflect most heat and absorb only a small portion. They can stay in your windows while parked at a ramp. They will become about 20 - 30 degrees warmer than the interior temperature of your aircraft. In some climates, the interior could get over 140 degrees while parked. If these conditions exist, remove your Jet Shades from your windows.

I’m in Florida and the part as follows concerned me:
