Equipment code
I am really confused as to which equipment code I should be using. I have the non-waas G1000 with the GTX345R for ADS-B (mode S). So what should I be using for the current flight plan and the future ICAO flight plan?

Re: Equipment code
For current/legacy FAA flight plans, continue to use /G (assuming your GPS database is current).
For ICAO, good luck. The list of entries in the various slots has so many redundancies I haven't sorted it all out yet myself. I have made educated guesses but it's a puzzlement.

Re: Equipment code
See link at the bottom of the page for an XLS file that maps Garmin equipment combinations to the ICAO flight plan codes.

Re: Equipment code
I have a non-WAAS G1000 with a GTX-345R for ADS-B (Mode S).
I am trying to use Garmin Pilot to file a flight plan and I keep getting the following error:
"The equipment selected for this aircraft is not valid for filing an ICAO flight plan. Please make sure to have values for the following item:
ICAO Equipment
Surveillance Equipment"
For ICAO Equipement I have selected:
FAA/Domestic /G
ICAO COM/NAV S
ICAO Surveillance EB2
I reviewed the Garmin Spreadsheet referenced above and it seems the most appropriate choice for ICAO Nav/Com is either C2 or D2 but those aren't options (or at least I don't see them). I couldn't find the difference between with and without SBAS.
Thanks!

Re: Equipment code
I have been in and out of Canada and the Bahamas several times with the same avionics as you and I use S/EB2
I have not had any problems using that code.

Working with Garmin Pilot, we figured out that I had an error in the "Filing Type" field. Once I corrected the "Filing Type" I was able to file using S/EB2.

Re: Equipment code
I found the ForeFlight video helpful ... seems to suggest G &. S as appropriate codes
