I think I will run off a few on my 3D printer. My A&P has no problem signing off on them since it's better than vinyl taping the lines. Just studying which material to use (most likely ASA, which is a UV stable version of ABS or Nylon 66). Use 3M VHB tape to secure legs to landing gear.

Decided to run off a few on my 3D printer using ASA (Acrylonitirle Styrene Acrylate) a UV-resistant engineering-grade weatherable polymer. My A&P is satisfied with that and prefers it over tape.

I am producing them using a 3D printer and material is ASA very high resistance against UV and yellowing. My metal brake cables snap right in. Much better looking than electrical tape.

Steve - Many thanks for sending me the brake line clips. Very nice work indeed! They look (and feel) like a quality piece and should work perfectly. I know some people use tape and I was using zip ties for a while. But these are definitely the way to go! Appreciate you putting in the time to make a set for me! Could not find a way to post a pic but perhaps you could do so to allow others to see your work.

This is a great product, but not permanent. You’ll need to replace the tape depending on UV and temp. But it’s certainly a simple solution and more adaptable than fixed brackets.

I originally used the fusion tape but it was difficult because it starts to "roll up" as you slide the brake line hold holder onto the landing leg unless you spread the mounting "ears". It is also thick especially after you put it on both sides. I prefer LIQUID NAILS® FUZE*IT available in any DIY store (Home D Lowes etc.). Doesn't harden and has a strong grip. Another product is 3M 5200 but removal is very difficult and it will take some of the paint with it. Mine are on approximately six months and are fine. They survived 123 deg. at Death Valley!
