For my annual we serviced the nose wheel gear and bearings. In putting the wheel back on I reused the pivot nut bolt.
The nut has a nylon thread.
I normally do not like to reuse nuts that have nylon stops nut can find no where that they should be replaced, To increase my paranoia the pivot bolt does not have a castor or cotter pin safety feature. Seems a pretty important area not to have one.
I am going to replace the nut with a new one just in case, but can find no sizing info in Diamond maintenance literature.
Does anyone know the size and thread for the Pivot nut. Thanks

Re: Nose Wheel Pivot Nut Size and Thread Question
It is a DIN985-M12 A4 stainless steel Nyloc nut. And I agree with you - one installation only with Nylocs. If you have to remove it, toss it and put a new one on. They are cheap...
