Re: Cylinder head temps
As someone who wants to improve my CHTs and later install a PowerFlow, my AP is ordering an Arizona Baffle Kit from Diamond. The Diamond Part Number is D41-7166-11-00_2.
I have a nice PDF with Pics of this but being a very new poster to this great forum, I am struggling with how to attach this PDF.

Re: Cylinder head temps
As it happens, Today I was helping my mechanic research what settings to use when installing a new JPI system (an EDM830, IIRC) into an Arrow. Since the plane did not already have a CHT gauge we had to figure out where to set the redline. In the process I looked ours up. I had forgotten that the green zone, according to the AFM goes clear up to 475 F, with redline at 500, and a yellow between.
We finally did dig up the specs for the IO360 variant in this plane, and 500 is indeed the max.
Of course, this is not for continuous operation, but I'd forgotten how high these numbers were.

Re: Cylinder head temps
Installed Arizona baffle last week. Cyl 1 is never more than about 370 even at best power.
Chandelles really raise temps. Will try soon.
Seems to work very well.
Many thx to those in the forum who told me about the new baffle

Hello,
Unfortunately the dealer in France is unable to order it.
It sees that they cannot find the reference.
Can you help?
Thanks.

Re: Cylinder head temps
Would running ROP solve a hot cylinder?
I'm curious as I had a Columbia 400 once upon a time which the factory insisted on running LOP .. and it did fine.
Elsewhere in this forum the consensus seems to be to stay ROP. Perhaps you have GAMI injectors?

Re: Cylinder head temps
Hello,
When I run LOP i’m Fine now. CHT are around 375 and balanced. But when I follow the poh value for ff i’m Above 400 and cylinder 1 has higher CHT than other.
So i’m Cruising lop now, the side effect is 7 knot slower, but I save fuel!
