Seat-to-side panel gap

Post by Rich »

Over the years my plane developed a gap between the left side of the pilot seat and the left side panel. A few years ago I stuck some sticky-back door seal stuff to the side panel to close up this gap. But during the last annual, the seal had become twisted and ugly looking, so I pulled it off thinking I'd replace it afterwards. Flash forward to yesterday. Seal had not been replaced. I was getting the GNS database cards with the current data in them out of the little bag I keep them in and one of the evil things jumped out of my hand and dived right through the gap

So after a few magic words I had to go remove the pilot seat to get below and retrieve it. Now this isn't a really big deal, but it was definitely not on my schedule. :x

New seal is now in place
