Pre Prebuy

I've found the great prebuy checklist this forum put together. Thanks for that. A small portion of items there are things I (not an A&P) can check before ordering up a prebuy, obviously most are not. I'm looking at a DA40 that's never been hangared, had a prop strike in its first 10s of hours (that logs show was properly inspected and repaired), and generally hasn't seen much TLC--but it hasn't by any means been neglected. Are there some inspections you would recommend that could turn this into a hard no even before a prebuy?

If you need WAAS, determine if the plane has WAAS, or how you will effect an upgrade to WAAS.

Jim - The prebuy checklist is linked in Ian's post above (click on "prebuy checklist").

I’m buying a G1000 DA40 XLS, is there any prebuy items for avionics? I have test flown the aircraft and the G1000 system did not show any obvious errors. The GFC700 flew an approach.

See the WAAS question earlier in the thread.
