Dynon has expanded the number of aircraft for their SkyView HDX PFD but unfortunately Diamonds are still not on it. See http://www.dynoncertified.com/

The Aerovonics AI (plus features) replacement looks like a pretty good fit for us six-packers. The existing CB/essential bus and OAT probe are all ready to go.blsewardjr wrote: ↑Sat Jul 27, 2019 2:44 pm Spoke with the Aerovonics guy at Oshkosh. Told me the DA40 was on the AV-30 AML list they submitted to the FAA for the STC certified version. Here’s hoping. Played with the unit a little. Believe it will be a good replacement. Was told to submit my $100 deposit soonest as they currently have a six month backlog to fulfill once it is certified.
I've been thinking about this, too. Please provide a PIREP after you have replaced yours!Ultrapilot1 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 02, 2019 11:09 am I to thought I ran out of upgrades but decided to go with SureFly electronic ignition and replace my left Mag. Lycoming just announced their own private labeled version (also from Surefly). That will be one less Mag I have to overhaul. Benefit is faster starts and less fuel consumption.
I see one of these in my future also. But I've been planning on waiting until it was getting to mag-overhaul time or I have a problem with my Slick Start (which costs almost as much as a Surefly mag). One thing I don't expect is faster starts for my plane. I really can't envision faster starts than I get now. But here's the deal. The Slick Start the plane came with got flaky in 2011 and was replaced with a new one. In the meantime the design was changed and this newer one delivers much more power to the mag than the previous design. So some of us are likely still using the older, less-effective ones. I don't know at what point the old design was no longer being produced.Rick wrote: ↑Fri Aug 02, 2019 12:22 pmI've been thinking about this, too. What are there, like 10 in the world that would qualify? A revolting situation indeed.blsewardjr wrote: ↑Fri Aug 02, 2019 4:23 pm The Garmin G5 AML was revised on July 19. It now includes the DA40 BUT ONLY FOR VFR AIRCRAFT without lightning protection as noted in footnote 6. The DA40 is the only aircraft subject to this. Even the Cirrus can now use the G5. Very frustrating. See http://static.garmin.com/pumac/sa01818wi_1907.pdf
