...and I really like the video it generates. A couple of stills:
Video from this camera position almost appears like it is taken from another aircraft flying in close formation (due, I think, to the stabilization process). There is a slight variability in perspective due to this, which makes it appear that the camera is not affixed to the airframe.

Re: Tried out my new GoPro camera today...
I'm using the Nflightcam Exterior Ball-Head Mount for GoPro. With this device you mount a surface spud, replacing an existing airframe screw with a slightly longer one. The ball head attaches to this spud. I have one spud on the top of the port wingtip and the one for these photos on the underside of the starboard horizontal stabilizer. I'll grab a photo next time I fly.
The camera is a GoPro Hero7 White ($199 including the memory card). I have an old GoPro Hero2 mounted inside the canopy facing forward as well, but that old technology can't be remotely controlled from my phone, so it is relegated to the cockpit, where I can control it manually.

Re: Tried out my new GoPro camera today...
This is an incredible mount:
https://www.mypilotstore.com/MyPilotSto ... _AQAvD_BwE
Extremely stable and you can attach to the wing or tail tie-down with no aircraft mods (although I find mounting on the tail, the lens gets fouled by oil etc from exhaust). Also works for 1/4" mounts like I have on my Sony FDRX3000 Action Cam. BTW, the Sony's optical stabilization does a far better job of reducing vibration and jello effect than the GoPro or Garmin Virb that have electronic stabilization. It also has a smaller frontal profile that reduces wind drag.
