Headset question

Hello,

Sorry, but my question here is not related to DA40.

In my DA40 I have a GMA340, for myself I have a Bose a20 headset (high impedance) and I have the opportunity to buy another Bose a20 headset but with low impedance.

As I have so idea on what it means can some of you explain me in some easy to understand word what it is and if I can mix headset with high and low impedance and also if the GMA340 can handle it?

My target is to have 4 bose a20 for the family, ideally all the same.

Thanks for the help.

Arnaud.

I couldn't find any specs in the GMA340 manual relating to microphone input impedance. I do know that you can buy low and high impedance mics for the Bose headsets, so if it doesn't work as-is you wouldn't have to replace the entire headset, just the mic.

Hi Arnaud,

As Steve said you can change the microphones but I believe you also need to change the cable which has the volume control & bluetooth box. From what I've read the bluetooth box only works with high impedance microphones.

I don't have not used this personally but perhaps this product would be helpful: http://www.mypilotstore.com/MyPilotStore/sep/7153
