How to fix fuel leak from check valve

Our DA40 with extended fuel tanks has a leak from the check valve in the capillary line (fuel is leaking out the vent under the wing).
Mechanic wants to repair the check valve but can’t get to it/find it.
He sees the standard tanks (in our other DA40) has check valve at end of tank , but for the long range tanks can’t find it or access it.

He thinks he get parts to repair it if he can get access. Does he need to remove wing?
Anyone have insight here?

Help appreciated.

Wondering if there was any further insight to this issue. I am looking at a DA40 XLS and it came up on Prebuy.

Only one of the tubes has a check valve, which is straight above the vent panel. You might be able to get to it, but it will be pretty hard to work around the tank interconnect and I doubt you'll be able to actually get a new one installed through that tiny space.

That said, the real fix is generally to not fill the tanks all the way up to the neck, especially the right side (due to the adverse vent location).
