Cage the attitude indicator

Hello,
Did some of you already had problem to cage the attitude indicator (steam gauge).
Mine is hard to pull and sometime I have to do it twice to have a suitable attitude.
Is it a sign that he is dying or is there any maintenance to do?
Any tips?
