The 530 has nothing to do with the trim. (Mine is currently not installed at all and trim works normally.) What you are likely referring to is the KC 140, which is the A/P computer that mounts in the panel. I've had this thing resist being properly seated in its mount and result in something or other not working properly. But if manual trim isn't working now, it's likely it's in the trim linkage.Chromer wrote: ↑Tue Aug 06, 2019 1:06 pm I had the same issue earlier this summer. Never had this occurred before my annual. My plane had some work done on the GNS 430. I found that the GNS530 was not tighten down properly and would move around in the holder. I tightened the hold down screw and haven't seen the problem since. Don't know if this helps.

Re: KAP140 autopilot trim issue
Ok we can finally put this one to bed.. It was the friction adjustment and a loose chain in the trim mechanism under the console.. The tension was way to loose as was the chain.. Test flew yesterday and worked perfectly

Re: KAP140 autopilot trim issue
I believe that "CAP140 autopilot" is really intended to be "KAP140 autopilot". I mention this so that, perhaps an admin can change the topic's title in order that it will show up during searches. OTOH, this post of mine will cause it to do so, anyway.
