Re: Ceiling
Did you happen to record Density Altitude?

Re: Ceiling
Which altitude is that graph representing? You may have been even higher!
On a flight last month my indicated altitude was 14,500 cruising west over the Sierra. But when I examined the G1000 data log on Cirrus Reports, my GPS altitude topped out at 15,200'. Here's a piece of the graph.

Re: Ceiling
... and since I assume Arnaud was flying summertime in hot Europe, the Density Altitude could easily be +2K-to-3K' higher than ForeFlight's GPS altitude. Arnaud, next time you upload your SD card you could calculate what the 16,845' GPS altitude corresponded to in Density Altitude.

Re: Ceiling
Did you climb up so high for the overwater stretch. How it worked out with the ATC … were you flying IFR? Chambéry to Figari ?

Re: Ceiling
Hello Thomas,
I flew Albertville to Figari in VFR. The sky was overcast and I didn’t want to make a big bypass via marseille.
The French ATC gave me the clearance up to FL190. When I contacted the Italien ATC they let me at FL160 for some minutes then they requested FL125 maxi VFR ceiling, then FL105 on the sea.
Arnaud.

Re: Ceiling
The indicated altitude was 16000 at 1013 (FL) and the GPS altitude recorded maxi 16480 Ft and so did Flightradar24
