Re: What tug to get?
I've just ordered TF2 from Towflexx https://towflexx.com. It's a tug and GPU - there's smaller version TF1 that's sufficient for DA40. I don't know whether this is available in US.

Re: What tug to get?
I read through this thread about a dozen times. It sounds like most people are recommending AeroTow. But it also sounds like everybody was happy with whatever tug they bought. So I ordered a Minimax tug, being the cheapest option right now. Will report back.

Airtug NFE-4
Bought this model a few years ago - it has been a very dependable workhorse at a fair price. Here in michigan tires are a big deal and the tread on the NFE-4 gets the job done.
The unit includes a trickle charger so I just keep it plugged in.
A+ Product and company support.

Re: What tug to get?
https://www.besttugs.com/b5-info)-- it's probably over kill but its so easy and sweat free, especially here in Florida. I try to do as much as possible so not to sweat.
I keep the plane parked with the B5 hitched with auto parking. It's all electric, no mess. I feel that Best Tugs thought of all the details and put their experience into their products.
Mine might be larger than needed, but I was also thinking it was an investment into the next plane too.

Re: What tug to get?
I use an AC Air Technology T1X2 on my '23 DA40NG here in Denmark. I use it as standard with no spacerplate and also not the special "DA40-arms". I should have not bought those. I have no problem with the nose wheel fairing. It is simply amazing to use. So easy to navigate the airplane in tight spaces when you can walk around the airplane and move it slowly with the remotecontrol for the tug.

Re: What tug to get?
The Minimax tug seems to work well for my purpose. It is able to push my plane over the hangar lip but only with a little momentum. I am happy with what I bought, and it serves me well so far, but it may be weaker than other tugs out there.
