2005 DA40 XLT - Does anyone know if there are downloadable ALERT or ADVISORY logs from the G1000? I'm not talking about the flight logs, rather an audit trail of "AHRS Failure" or "Door Open" etc etc........ I powered up the G1000 to Configuration Mode and selected "Download Logs" but all that did was put a DCIM folder on the SD card with no files in it.
Or is there a more comprehensive G1000 resource somewhere? The Diamond/G1000 maintenance manual I've been looking.
Thanks,
Chris

Re: G1000 Alert Logs
I'm unaware of such a logging capability.

Hi Chris -
To confirm, you used the process in section 5.5.6 ("Downloading GIA and GSA Maintenance Logs") to download logs to an appropriate (2-4GB?) FAT 32 SD card in the top PFD slot?
This *should* create a "diag_buf_log.txt" file, which terminates with "End of Fault Log." IME this is much easier than scrolling through the logs displayed on-screen.
I know this works with our 2008 XLS, but that has different firmware than your 2005 (XLT?).

Just be careful. It is easy to completely wipe out calibration if you get careless.
