Storm window seal
I'm looking for a spare parts of storm window seal. I found it for Piper, Beech on Aircraft Spruce, but not for Diamond.
Does anyone know where I can buy?

Re: Storm window seal
I did once get a strip of this stuff from Diamond. I'm looking to replace mine again, as it looks really crummy. But at least it doesn't leak. Looking for a replacement solution, as I'm sure this is hazardous material
Beware: The first window latch I broke happened instantly when I put the new seal in place and closed the window. Partially this had to do with the improper location of the securing slot above the left window.

Re: Storm window seal
My storm windows never had a seal (and they never have leaked). I wonder why they apparently changed the design...

Maybe your plane was built on a Tuesday.
The strips they sell break off into fourths or fifths so if one person wants to buy one you can call pitch in and share a lifetime supply of it

Re: Storm window seal
any suggestions on acrylic-safe adhesive remover to get the goo off? I have used the lighter fluid trick on other parts of my plane with good success, and it is allegedly acrylic-safe, but never tried it.

Re: Storm window seal
The aviation department at Home Depot may have something that could work:

I have some of the foam window seal from Diamond left over from 8-10 years ago. If you can't find anything useful I can check to see if it has dried up. If not I can send you some.
