I think I put in 1995 and whatever model would satisfy the search to spit out 147. I just tried some different years and models.

Re: New Nose Wheel Fin
Not a painter by any means - Did you do the complete kit with all 3 coats?

Re: New Nose Wheel Fin
The kit just arrived today. It came with a can of primer, color and clear coat. Weather permitting, I'll do the painting in the next week or two and provide a full report. Or I may take the fin off and bring it home to do the work as temps are hanging around 50˚ which is the minimum they recommend.

Re: New Nose Wheel Fin
Krylon Fusion gloss white from Lowes is a near perfect match, $5.

Re: New Nose Wheel Fin
I should have contacted Diamond support first:
There isn't a specific name for the shade of white on the single stage white DA40's. The paint is N0805EP and supplied by Axalta coatings. We refer to it as 'new Diamond white'.
We can provide P/N's for the paint and hardeners, if you would like to purchase some through your DASC. If you wish to get the paint locally, we would recommend to get a color scan done on the aircraft and then have a custom color mixed to match.
My bad assumption about color. The correct reading of the AMM is that those colors are acceptable, not that they are the color the plane is painted. I used the kit I purchased and carefully painted and clear coated the fin over the weekend with the MB Arctic White. When I returned to the plane today it as not even close!
Now I'll investigate buying "Diamond White", or may go with the Krylon Fusion gloss white.

Re: New Nose Wheel Fin
Photos of the nose wheel fin and lower vent plugs on my 2010 DA40 XLS are included below. Mercedes-Benz - Arctic White 147/9147 paint with clear coat from amazon.com was used on all these parts.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00GV ... UTF8&psc=1.
The color is not an exact match in that it is a bit darker than the rest of the plane but I found the color of the Lowe's Krylon Fusion gloss white paint recommended earlier in this thread for the fin to be too light.
I used M5 stainless steel button head screws to match the other screws on the wheel pant. The vent plugs are held in place with Velcro so they can be easily removed. They look a little better than the duct tape that was previously used to reduce the air vent noise.
