Re: Aviation oil recommendation
Thanks so much. I have a stock of Aeroshell and will stick with it for awhile with Camguard. After that runs out may got to the Philips Victory. Mike Busch teaches a great course on this through the EAA webinars. I have learned so much from that guy and , of course, people like yourself on this forum. Happy New Year.

Re: Aviation oil recommendation
Anyone here ever switch to the Philips Victory 20-50 and have some feedback?

Re: Aviation oil recommendation
I use Aeroshell 15-50 for years and oil analysis is great. It already has the additives in it - no camguard per my research is necessary.

I've heard mechanics say both sides of this. I still add camguard. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯I use Aeroshell 15-50 for years and oil analysis is great. It already has the additives in it - no camguard per my research is necessary.

Re: Aviation oil recommendation
The aeroshell multigrade absolutely does contain the Lycoming additive. The straight W100 does not, the W100+ does.

Re: Aviation oil recommendation
This sounds familiar - I think I must have crossed my wires and thought there was a similar pattern with 50/50+, oops. The straight W100 does not, the W100+ does.
