Faulty baggage net latches
For those of you who do not receive the notifications from Diamond, there is a new Mandatory Service Bulletin for the DA62 and all flavors of the DA40 regarding faulty latches on some cargo nets. If you have a Baggage Net Assembly P/N D44-2550-90-00 with dates of manufacture (DMF) of December 2015, November 2016, or March 2017 (or a DA26 with P/N D67-2550-90-00_02 with a date of manufacture (DMF) of June 2016), Diamond will provide you with a new net. You can find the applicable MSB documents here: DA40_MSB DA62_MSB

Re: Faulty baggage net latches
Yeah, I saw the MSB. I haven't been out to the airport to look yet, but has anyone been able to find the part number on the baggage net?

Re: Faulty baggage net latches
The key is the "Quick Fix" version - the version with quick-release latch connectors. (This is what is illustrated on page 2 of the MSB.)
The version in my 2019 DA40NG has a spring-loaded lever that grabs the anchor strap. The levers have a "BL" on the underside. The part number is on a sewn-in label on lower cross-floor strap. My plane has PN DA4-2550-90-00 Rev F and a DOM 02 2018.
