I know, the American DE is expensive and has a reputation for unreliability, but that's what happens when there's no competition.
Shebles have examiners on staff, which is another plus.

Re: DA42 rental
Well as long as we're opening up the entire U.S., UVU (uvu.edu) in Provo, UT has several 42NGs they use for training. It's an aviation program associated with a University so it's a nice sized operation. Direct flight on Delta from Paris to SLC may make the commute easier. Good location if you like skiing. Also, if you want some nice mountain flying, good skiing and have always wanted to visit Yellowstone, there is a big Diamond flight school at the Bozeman (KBZN) airport that uses 42s.

Re: DA42 rental
It's been a while since I asked, so I'll try again in case things have changed. Anyone know of a DA42 at a flight school in the vicinity of Boston?

Re: DA42 rental
Closest one for rental I know of is at TakeFlight Aviation flight school at Orange County Airport, NY (KMGJ, near Stewart-Newburgh). They have an Austro-powered DA42 NG that I've flown.

Re: DA42 rental
Well, if you are going to go that far afield you've got Academy of Aviation at both KHPN (Westchester) and KFRG (Republic). They have a DA42 in the fleet. I used to be on their mailing list and I think they had more than one. (They also fixed a started on my DA42 when I was AOG at KHPN one summer.)
