is it worth to spend 2500€ for a better heating lever?

We operate a DA42 TDI (SN 42.049 2005) that is currently getting new 2.0 Centurion Diesel Engines.
During the inspection a broken bolt for the alt Air/ heating Lever has been found.

There are to possible repairs
- put in a new bolt: 800€
- put in a new Solution that changes the way how heating and alternate air is controlled.. this will avoid that the bowden cable breaks (like it used to do in the past)... 2.500€. The solution is documented under Optional Service bulletin OSB 42.124

DID ANYONE PERFORM THIS? DID THIS ALSO IMPROVE THE HEATING CAPACITY?

Any experiences? Need to decide tomorrow if I spent 800€ or 2.500€...

thx

Hans

Very interested to hear, since I don't like the motion of the heater lever.
